Summit sells a chevy to BOP adapter, its made by advanced adapters. There is also a turbo 400 with that bellhousing on it.

the adapter bolts the engine to the tranny. you will need to space the converter from the flywheel.

It all bolts in.

Since GM built a tranny bell housing with the correct pattern for your engine I would use the correct tranny case to avoid any possible troubles.

when i pulled the motor i left the tranny connected... and needless to say some of my drunk buddies decided to take it off... in the air... dropped it and cracked the bell housing right in half...

A knowledgable tranny person can swap parts to the correct case for your application.

I do not care for adapters when an OE part is availible.

just my opinion.

gook luck,

No.

mis-alignment would be a problem between the engine crank shaft and tranny pump / converter
