GM torque converter issues
I have a 1988 GMC 2500 with a THM400, and I can't figure out what converter will work. I got the truck without a TC but have three sitting around and none work. The engine is a 305 with the small flexplate three bolt pattern. The first TC is too big with six bolt holes, the second is from a 700R4 three bolt, the third is a THM350 three bolt. It seems like none of the TC's go in far enough. The 700R4 fits the best but sticks out 1/2" too much.
