GM truck rear end width

Where can I find information on the width of GM truck rear ends? I need total widths, not that backing plate to backing plate crap. I have an 8.5 that I need to know what it came out of. The total width is 67 1/2 inches and it has 5 lug 28 spline axles. I know it's from '81 to '89, but I need to know if it's 2WD or 4X4 and what it fits. Thanks.

Being a 5 lug its gonna be a 2WD. I will look thru my lists and see if I find that measurement.

Yea, I was thinking it was 2WD too because of the 5 lug axles, but the width is more like a 4X4.

I dont have any listed at that length either. I'm suspicious that it may be from a van. If you take it apart for some reason measure a axle.

75-88 Chev van 10 ser.
15 ser
75-88 GMC van 1500 ser
2500 ser

28 spline 8.5 with 28 spline axles. 33 5/16 face of flange to the end. But I dont have a measurement for the total width.

I've already rebuilt is and I need to sell it, but I need to know exactly what it fits. I had it listed as a 2WD truck rear end, but I'm not sure that's what it is.

I rebuilt the rear end in a 2WD '85 Chevy truck today and I measured it while I was under the truck. The total width was 63 1/2 inches and the spring perches were 42 1/2 center to center. The rear end that I have is 67 1/2 inches wide and the spring perches are 50 inches center to center. What is this thing out of?
