GMC transmission

I have a 62 GMC panel truck,305 V6 ,3 speed[was]. Lost second/third gear. Don't know if there is a common problem with these. Will start on it tonight. My main concern is replacement parts. Is this trans GMC only,or was it shared with Chevy? Thanks for the help.Found the problem! Shifter fork is dead meat. At least it didn't get wound up in the gears. Fell into the bottom of the case. Need 2nd/3rd shifter fork. Where to find? Thanks again.
