Going back to basics...

When diagnosing engine problems, stick to the basics..
I was checking a P0441 in Camry, 1996 5SFE, 4CYL.
I overlooked the easy stuff, turn out a vacuum hose to the VSV was cracked/broken

Sadly, the emphasis today is on reading codes and replacing parts. Proper diagnosis is a lost art. Yes, I realize that getting the cars in and out of the shop as quickly as possible maximizes profits - I understand that. It's just sad.
