gold paint

Would like to paint some emblems on car gold color. Replating them is way too costly. Anyone know of decent rattle can spray paint I can use? I can shoot clear over it to make it last longer.

have used both of these. the 18k looks the best. think it was $22.95 the other is $6 or $7 but it does look cheap.

Something you can do is to order the dry flake from tcpglobal and mix that into some intercoat and shoot the parts. I woudl use the ultra fine flake on this..

Check the craft stores, like Hobby Lobby or along those lines. Even WallyWorld in the craft section. I picked up a paint pen a while back that was gold when I was advertising my Blazer for sale and wrote on the windows with it. It really looked more like gold than some rattle cans.

Alot of the time the rattle can chrome/gold wont take clear even from the same manufacturer. Theyre *supposedly* formulated to look the part without but most of the cheaper ones come out a dull, matte....satin finish at best. Ive always wanted to try some jewelry dip just to see the outcome but its low on the curiousity list.
