Golf turbo?

Hey everyone, I have a 97 vw golf. It's gas, completely stock, I was wondering if I could take a turbo from a diesel golf and put it on mine?

How much time and money do you have? I'm guessing that you're looking for an inexpensive junkyard setup. This isn't it. Yes, you can adapt the turbo, but there is a LOT of fabrication and ECM programming needed to make it work.

Well, I know someone with a motor that has the turbo and everything on it. But I'm not sure if everything will fit? And If I do make it work, I suppose i'll have to set the boost really low? Like 5psi?
