Gonna do a FWD engine swap.

You'll all probably think I took my brains out and played with 'em but I bought a low mile '95 Cadillac 4.9 V-8 complete with the trans, computer and engine cradle and I'm looking for the smallest GM FWD that it will physically fit in. I know it will fit in a W-body (Grand Prix, Lumina, Cutlass & Regal) but I'm kind of hoping I can squeeze it into a mid 90's Olds Achieva coupe. Anybody know of any similar swaps I could get info from ? Thanks, and feel free to laugh amongst yourselves, I would if I were you.

You won't hear me laughing, a good 4.9 Caddy would surprise anyone who hasn't driven one. I was recently working on a De'ville for a freind (so I got to drive it around quite a bit), and I noticed I could leave traffic at the stoplight effortlessly.

Drop it into a S10 and everyone will freak!!
I did this with a 78 Eldo and grafted the frame to a 81 GMC fullsize shortbed.

well, similar swaps probably won't help you here, closest is a 3800 90°v6. i've heard of/ seen pics of a northstar dropped into an alero which is an n-body like the achieva, along with the 97+cut supreme, malibu, grand am, etc. however, it required a bit of work if i recall. you could always put it in a pontiac fiero, that's a rwd with a fwd drivetrain, and is your best bet.

if you wanted to try something a bit wild, you could try wedging it in a j-body. i've heard of the 3800sc fitting in them.
