Dump is going to be pretty full this month. Hopefully this board can get back to some usefull discussion. Even though there were always arguments here and there, there use to be many usefull threads where everyone new or old to body and paint could learn something.

I bought 4 quarys of acrylic lacquer one time for $2.50 each at a garage sale.............guess that qualifies as a $10 paint job.....Of course, I had to buy the thinners.

I have checked the mis-mixed shelves at the local paint shop and picked up two gallons of Imron Hugger Orange for $5 each. I pick up a gallon or quart here and there if the colors interest me or I think that I can use them for graphics or small jobs (mini bikes, trailers, go carts, etc) or projects.

Hey this sounds like a great idea, $10
I found this set of brushes at Harbor Freight will these work or do I need to use a roller? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=39991 Not sure if my paint pan is big enough to run these brushes though. Last edited by oldred; 11-14-2007 at 05:56 AM. |

Hmmm! Well like you dad! And you have know bucks you do what you can! The other point everone seem's to forget not everyone has cash for that 2000.00 paint job and that's cheap in paint jobs. I got a quote for my son's truck 7,000.00 heck with that. I could by a completed truck for that! Lot's to concider and depending on you money deal. For you new guys you need to start some where and when you work fast food or what every. You can get a nice paint job for cheap! Work you way up like everyone else did. There a price range for everyone from your garage to a paint booth job! So I wish people would quit doing that! Your making it real hard for the guy's with no bucks. Craig |

I figure that next week we will have some clown that lives next door to a house painter. He gets the paint for free cause the guy is throwing it away. He uses brushes and gets "Show Finishes" on his Ferrari.
I am all for people fixing up their vehicles, but if they don't have the funds, and think that they are doing something good by doing that kind of crap, they need to wait. Aaron |
