Post Good deal????

Hello,Getting ready to put some goodies in the little Austin.I've spent the last few weeks with a wire wheel and my drill getting the surface rust out of the interior and "getting to know"the car.I've purchased a Ford 9 inch rear end and will have it narrowed(mid February)the fellow has recommended going with a 4point set up rather than leaf springs(I kinda wanted to keep the leaf springs[going for the 60s Gasser look])any thoughts?I picked up a couple of 15inch Ford rims and tires and will take my measurements with them on the car.I've been told to measure from flange to flange, but I'm concerned about the clearance between the wheel and the frame(am I making sense?)A fellow I met a while back donated a Chev 400 automatic trans to "The Project"(good condition I'm told).Today I went out and bought a 327 from a fellow I work with. It's out of a 67 Pontiac. If memory serves me correct(if somewhat slow),this may be a problem(the motor and trans fit,not the memory...well...uh..).Are the mounting bolt paterns different?Much different?are there adapter kits available(if so,where and how much)?I hope I've still got a good deal going. When I get this done(paid for)I'll be tackling the front suspension, steering and brakes. How does it sound??On track,eh? Thanks for your help.

Do what you wanna do not what some guy says will be easiest or what he thinks.. (although sometimes it is good to listen to opinons if you are unsure)

As for the engine tranny thing... You can never have too many boat anchors!! Even if you don't own a boat
