Good deal on engine?

I was going to post this in the engine forum, but when I read it, it seemed to much like a lounge topic... so here it is...

I've been pricing brand new engines for a while now... however reconditioned engines, I dont have the slightest idea about thier prices...

This is what this one is for $3600;
395ci SBC stroker:

Recon'd, 350ci bored .030
Main Lines Checked, Block Magnafluxed, Sonic Tested for Core Shift, Bored and Honed with Torque Plates, Brass Freeze Plugs Installed, Cam Bearings Installed, Block Decked, Block Squared, Fully Balanced
Crankshaft: SCAT Forged 4340, 3.875" Stroke Lightweight Crankshaft
Rods: SCAT 6.0" H-Beam
Bearings: Clevite H-Series Performance Race Bearings Clevite Performance Cam Bearings
Pistons: SRP, Forged Pistons
Piston Rings: Speed-Pro Chrome Moly Piston Rings 1/16 x 1/16 x 3/16.

Good deal? or to much?

Is this a complete motor...heads and intake and all? Not a bad price for a complete motor. But if you have to buy heads...say $1500 to $2000 complete and then and intake and carb another $400 for a Dart intake or $200 if you can run a standard Edelbrock intake then a carb...$250 to $450.

All it has is listed above.... nothing on the top, Priced some complete heads at $1300 for it, and the intake is no prob.

Needs distrib, pan, pump, heads, intake, cam, chain\cover, flywheel, valve covers.

Im thinking maybe another $2000....

around $5600 for a 395...

they advertise 480+hp with similar heads and a dual plane.

I think Im just trying to talk myself into it.
