I would use the edelbrock RPM intake. not the air gap, just the regular RPM.

I don't like RPM air gaps because of bad cold weather manors (slow warm ups) and crap falls under the intake. Not worth the 2 extra hp.

don't like edelbrock carbs, especially with big cams. I would use a holley 3310 with a 4.5 power valve.

That 292H a good cam, but I hope you are running a 2800 to 3200 rpm stall and are using the correct valve springs.

what is the compression ratio?

furthermore, use an oil additive at break in and at each oil change. www.zddplus.com. todays low emissions oils are not good for big flat tappet cams.

finally, that cam will require lots of ignition timing at idle. around 20 to 25 at idle and 38 to 40 total.

I think it is Holley that makes a 67-69 Z/28 clone intake. I love the older Z/28 intakes for street use. Also go with the Holley carb as indicated.

Have read a couple of places that the Edelbrock RPM and the Weiand Stealth are both Z-28 knock-offs. Don't know about Holley. I do know that the RPM and/or the Stealth make more power from idle to 6000 on the DynoSim than any other manifold I have tried.
