sounds like a fair price , if it runs and drives .. take a piece of fridge magnet with you , and see if it sticks {old appraiser trick }, sight down the sides -see how wavy it is .look under it for floor rust /patches/ repair , take it for a drive , see how it reacts to brake/throttle/steering inputs etc , listen for gear noise ................. if you do buy it , change ALL the fluids , preferably to synthetic , use a quality brand oil , filter additives etc .. put in 5 yr coolant etc etc .. cheap insurance .. good luck , let us know what you ended up doing ..jim p..

JP has a lot of good advice. I had a 62, they tend to rust around the rear fender wells, the bottom of the quarter panel, the bottom of the front fenders next to the doors, along the bottom of the back glass, the trunk floor and the interior floor. A little rust isn't bad if it's fixed properly, at that price it's definetely a good deal. also check to see if it's a 4 lug wheel pattern, it needs to be the 5 lug. check the motor mounts to the frame for cracks in the frame. At that price a good project car even if you have to do a few things to make it nice. Good luck, Dan
