is this a good street engine?

Hi. Im building an '81 chevy 350. stock bore. ill have 487x heads with 2.02/1.60 valves ported and polished, 10.5:1 or 11:1 CR pistons, Comp Cams 280 or 292 Mag cam, stock intake, headers. i dont know if the tranny will be auto or stick. it will be going in a g-body or an s-10 with 3.73 rear gear. i dont know if it matter but it'll also have a high volume oil pump, double roller w/ 4 degree advance, K&N 5" air filter, felpro gaskets, and moly piston rings.

im just wondering what cam and compression ratio i should go with to have a good street engine? it will see very little strip time. most of the time just driving out on the back roads.

also, i have a 500 CFM and a 750 CFM holley carb. which should i go with, and what do you think i would get for gas mileage?

For a street motor don't go above 10.5:1 on compression anything above that you are almost 100% of the time not going ot be able to run on pump-gas.
