Well I went out to the Goodguys today, saw a heck of a lot of the same old stuff, but sure enough there were a few stand outs.

When you are walking around with 3000 cars, they all seem to look alike, it takes something to STOP you, those are the ones I like to take photos of. Not that all of these cars STOPPED me, I also took pictures of some just for variety. But even those caught my eye somehow.

This Dually was an amazing truck. The custom paint job was VERY high quality.

This Elcamino was a gas! What an amazing hot rod this thing was. The old Ford custom was among a bunch of cars and it JUMPED out at me, what a car.

The little falcon (I love those cars) had a young man sitting next to it. I didn't speak to him but he looked pretty proud. :D

This sectioned 34 Ford has been around for years. I took a closer look at it only to find out it was owned by one of my first bosses. It was a full on restoration shop, he taught me a lot about detail and restoring.

The yellow A is the one that belongs to the A motor in my first post. The traditional 32 Chevy coupe with the 5 jug GMC motor is just one of the finest traditional cars to come out of the "rat rod" craze.

This Vette had an interesting paint job. The "lambo" doored Pontiac was "interesting". If you have never seen a set of these "lambo" hinges, they are an engineering masterpiece. The door was beat all to hell around the latch, they always are, these hinges "work", but they don't work like a real Lambo that is for sure.

The hard top for a 67-72 Chevy pickup was out in the swap meet. It was a very nice piece. They used a Blazer roof as a guideline and it REALLY looked original.

This car was inside, it was one of those that STOPPED me in my tracks. A Henry J station wagon. It was a SHOW CAR, that term is thrown around a lot, most of the time it is just a "nice car". This my friends is a SHOW CAR.

Check out the "frit" around the windows. The Wood is painted on.

This is the last photo of the Henry J and a couple of my favorite car of the event, a STUNNING 1968 Ford F100. It deserves a thread just for it, so that is exactly what I will do. :D

That "J" has got to show up in one of the major mags, I will be looking for it. Very nice pics, Brian, thanks!

Of course I'm gonna like the 59 chev pic----'cause I'm partial to those :D

But---the 60 Starliner----just not your everyday car!!!
Would'a loved to get a closer look at that.

That Pleasanton show is quite a show.
I made it there a couple of times when I lived in Fremont

When I took that photo there was a photographer shooting the car so you will be seeing more of it in some magazine no doubt.

Great photos, and thank you for the MUCH better ones of the "J". It was in the building when I took them and I just can't get anything better with my camera. Those are MUCH better. Wasn't that car a kick! I love that thing. How about that 1968 Ford F100, did you see it?

Yeah, that Henry J was amazing, especially out in the sun. Unfortunately, those are the only pics I got, there was good sized crowd around it and taking a good clear pic wasn't easy.
I remember seeing the F100-very clean and well detailed.

It was a good day-perfect weather, got in free, plenty of great cars and I found a bunch of parts for my project.

I spent a good 2 hrs. walking the swap meet and found some missing parts to
my '55 Truck project.
