The bus was built in the same shop that I painted my 34 in. I put in a lot of time on it from the when it arrived from Oklahoma on a trailer until it was finished. It has a 454 with a TH400 and Gear Vendors overdrive. The body is on a 90 Chevy one ton dually frame. It has an on board APU that provides 120V and 12V. It also has a killer sound system. Before I moved up to North Texas I went on several road trips in it, it rides real well and will cruise at 80 mph. They took out one whole section of the body to shorten it. They decided not to chop the top so it would be easier to get in and around in it. The 51 Merc came out of the same shop and the owner Ray owns the shop. His business is several high profile car washes in the area. The shop and the rods are just a hobby.
A pic of my 34 in Ray's shop, Ray is the guy with the hat toward the front of the 34 with the maroon shirt on. The guy wet sanding my 34 is a contract worker
. In the background you can see a 50's Chevy truck under construction. That truck belongs to the guy that owns the bus. It is currently very near completed and will be at Good-Guys Lonestar next year.
This picture of that truck is about six months old, so the truck is very near completion.
This is Ray's 51 Merc not quite finished, it was next to the bus at Good-Guys
