Goofy looking thing...

Today as I passed a junkyard I spotted what looked like a really short El Camino. But it looked weird, so I stopped to take a look. It was a Dodge Rampage. (???) never heard of one of these let alone see one. It was maroon, had a five speed and I don't know what size engine. Has anyone else ever heard of these? When were they made?

I *think* they were made 82-84 cause those are the only ones I've ever seen. Engine might've been a 2.2

They were built on the "K" car platform I believe. Same drive train, 2.2 and FWD.

@$#%!!!!!!

A front wheel drive pickup!?? With a 2.2L!!!! That's just wrong. Bet that thing can't make it up a hill because it's so underpowered. And here I thought that the smallest engine dodge ever made was a v6.

If they were real popular Chrysler they would have stuck around longer -- but at the time that was Chrysler's answer to cheaply produce something to sell.....

They really weren't a bad vehicle for the suburban folk that mostly use a truck bed to carry a couple bags of mulch.....

rampage

The Dodge Rampage was direct competition for the Subaru Brat.

Did the one you seen look like this?

Horsepower??

I wish the one I saw was supercharged with a giant blower on it! It looked like that one though. Same color too!
