Got 39 Poncho, have front end questions

Ok, I want to post a picture of my frame rails near the front end of my Pontiac but my file is too big, so RATS! (any help appreciated)

Anyhow, I am looking to replace my front end with Heidt's, so I ask them to send me a book and they did. The book shows a Chevy kit, the dismember yatta yatta. The Chevy frame rails look real straight where their kit goes, just weld the hat on top, weld the cross memeber under the rails, pow zoom you are done, go for a ride!

My Pontiac has a huge bulge in the frame where this kit goes, there is a big honker spring going up inside the frame there. See picture a? Sorry too big. sigh

Anyhow, my question: How the heck do I put in this Heidt's front end if there is a big bulge where it is supposed to go along my frame rails?

Here's another question: Suppose I want to know where my frame rails go in relation to the axle, (up/down-wise)? If the frame sits down into the cross member, then the car is going to shred the dirt, if the frame sits up into the hat above, then the nose is going to be up in the air! It''s already 13 inches up, TOO HIGH! How does I figure out where is my nose BEFORE I go welding stuff?

Ok, sorry for lots of words... I am trying to be breif, but is hard to explain six volume question with two three paragraphs a?

It's not a "dismember", it's a "Cross Member"!! Ha ha ha, I kill me! What a Freudian mistake! (Sorry)
