Got The F100 Painted.....

So I finally got the F100 painted. We got it back and had maybe a week and a half to install engine, trans, replace front clip and tie up the odds and ends and get it ready to drive to TN for a truck show.

I put a 50 mile shake down run on the fresh engine, then drove to the show. Had a blast and determined my circle is complete. Anything after this is just gravy.

I still gotta do something about the aluminum trim, gonna try to strip and polish before buying a new set. Get the seat recovered, dash pad replaced and some other interior stuff. In the mean time while my bank account recovers, I'm driving the wheels off of it.

Got it insured with Hagerty so I can replace it if something tragic happens. The build was fun, but I will NOT build another one. Next one will be bought finished.

Here's some pics of Little Black....

Parked at the Great Smokey Mtn F100 Run with the big dogs.

Whatcha think?

That is almost my favorite pick up of all time. Almost cause it's a Ford. I have owned 4 65, and 66 Merc 100's. Alas my plans to build a rod out of one were dashed by kids and space. If I ever get the chance I will be restoring a M100 very similar to your F. The only deviation would be to put in a camaro subframe and a 5.0 FI Mustang motor..

Yours looks great!

That lil truck looks just perfect the way it is.
not over done-----simple and classy.

And by the way---I do have a fondness for the the ol' Ford pickups.
(truth be told---I prefer LWB trucks for styling and ride, but am becoming a bit more appreciative of the SWB trucks for getting around corners and making u-turns)
