I got my used gear set in the mail today, pinion gear is huge, ring gear is tiny wondering if i was sent some bogus parts

gears are supposed to be for a 9" with a 3.55 ratio, but the ring gear measures under 9" across the gears (more like 8 3/4"). That's not right is it? any way to tell if they are right?


did ford ever make 3.55 gears, because i was told they were original ford 9" gears

wondering if they are 8.8 or something or from a dodge

both ring and pinion have FoMoCo logos on them (so it's not a 8 3/4 Mopar gear)

markings on ring gear U.S.A. WAC-421U-A 8-588 Shift No. 3
markings on pinion WAS 4610 A MX 1
