Gotta get new speedo...need help!

My speedo on the truck is broken. I took it apart today and cant make sense of it or how it works. (1950 Dodge)
But I need a working speedo to pass safety inspection, so I think for now I'm gonna go with a cheap speedo gauge from priness auto. Now if I hook my cable up to the new speedo, is the speed indicated still right????????

Thanks,

Mike

Awesome thanks. If not, is there a way to adjust it?
