Question Graphics

I am about to paint my car using base clear , I am trying to decide how to put the graphics on , if I air brush them on, I am concerned about the time it would take as all the paint companies state that the clear must be applied within 24hr of the base. If I use the (vynal) stick on graphics is there some way to get rid of the tell tale ridge that they always leave.

a way to get rid of that ridge is to put on the graphics and then clear coat over the graphics. i did the graphics on my T/A and had it cleared with 2 coats over them. smooth as a babys butt.

Yes you can clear over vinyl- but you'd really like it better if you airbrushed the graphics- plan a day when you have time and also check for maximum 'window'- you usually can go a little longer without adverse effects. The problem generally is when you wait several days. Good Luck!!

The way I do it is shoot the base, then shoot one or two coats of clear. then you can take as long as you want to doing the graphics, then sand the whole thing, then shoot three more coats of clear. HTH

Good Luck
Troy
