I am putting together my MII kit and I took the disc brake and spindle assembly apart to paint evrything. I wasnt to impressed with the grease that was in them, seemed gritty. Anyway, I am going to repack the bearings when I put it back together. Is that all the grease you use or should I pack grease inside of the hub also?? If so how much?
I read an article where they showed how excessive grease in the bearing housing contributed to bearing ball/roller skidding. The recommendation was to pack only enough to fill the races and to fill the cavity only 1/3 full. Use synthetic grease, by far the best.
