Greaseable U Joints or not?

Hey everyone,

Just curious, how strong are the greasable u joints? I was thinking about putting them in my truck, about 420HP + 125HP Nitrous. I'm pretty sure I need the solid ones but was curious how much HP the greasers can handle. I'll probably go with Moog's

depends on what series the u joints are? but I'd run solids in your case,
u joints are short money so replacing non servicable ones every 25-60k depending on how you beat it.
isn't a big deal,
if you launch a boat using this truck, I'd use greasable at least in the rear

When I talked to both Inland Empire and Denny's Driveshaft companies about building a driveshaft for my '31, both said that the non-lube type were stronger/better for any modified engine. It is a choice, but u-joints are cheap in comparison to most other driveline parts and I'll just change them out every 2-3 years with another premium piece regardless of mileage.(I ended up with a Denny's driveshaft)

Last time I bought the Spicer greaseless joints they carried a lifetime warranty. Haven't purchased one in a few years now so I can't say if their warranty has changed or not.

I use the Dana U-joints also. I've only ever broken 1 u-joint so far.It had grease fittings.
