I'm pulling some smaller gauge wires to hook up a LED 3rd brake light. I needed to get them through some existing grommets that were very tight. I came up with this idea and it worked great. I looked in my tool box and found my old baseball glove stitching or lacing needle, there are no shape edges to cut wires and with a little water soluble lubrication (not Vaseline) pulled the wire in like nothing. Since the needle has an eye the wire is held while you pull it through the grommet. It would work on larger wires I'm sure as long as you don't exceed the diameter of the needle.
Hope this helps
