Green Hornet rides again

For those of us old enough to remember the show, the car was pretty cool. Turns out they made two of them.
Well, the shop that's doing my car has one of them. It's finally in the paint booth.
When it comes out I'll try and get some better pics.

Found this on the web

http://www.imperialclub.com/Yr/1966/...auty/index.htm

The shop doesn't want any pics getting out before completion. Might have to don my Kato mask for some spy pics.

This thing has some serious black paint. Nothing of any color anywhere on it that I can find.

Notice the trap doors in the front. It's got rocket launchers, I could use those on the daily commute.

I was surprised to hear there were only 2 of them. Car problems didn't hold up production of a TV show and I had heard there were 4 Batmobiles made for the original TV series. One of the coolest cars on TV "in the day"

Hmmm, rocket launchers, I'd use them everyday on the work commute.

Adam West kept bouncing the cars off walls and posts.
Some on the set had no idea how Adam got a drivers license at all.

at least one of those cars was completely flocked, not sure if it was for lighting/glare control on the set, or if it was easier to re-flock rather than repaint when Adam bounced it off of something.

She's done and gone.
Not sure if I'll get an update when the restoration is done, but the body work is finished.

Here's the link for pics: http://elitecustoms.net/blackbeauty.htm
