I would definately use the value shade sealer, it helps you get coverage faster. Plan on spraying at least three medium coats of base. Make sure your sealer is really smooth as this blue is very transparent. You will need 6 pints to get the gallon and a half of base you want. I got a fresh gallon can and mixed all of the base together to make sure it was all the same color. I would buy a pint first and do a spray out as the color your seeing in my pictures is not the same as it looks on the car.
