Hi guys.
My name is Freddy.I live on the dophin coast-Durban South Africa.I have never worked on any car in my life.Always been keen to learn.At 36 years of age I Think its time.I have a 73 elcomino right hand drive which I have sold due to the fact of local machanics trying to rip me off due to the fact of not knowing enough.As I said the elcomino was sold due to the fact of a crazy amount of money to fix a tappet oil leak as well as servicing the front end of the car-steering(worn bushes and tie rods).However my friend could not come up with the cash so the van will be back with me at the end of this month.So I am quite excited to get it back and to start learning to do my own repairs.So if you guys dont mind silly questions I would really be greatfull for the help.

Welcome. If you are serious about learning to work on your car this is a good site. I also suggest subscribing to a couple of magazines like Street Rodder and Hot Rod, then actually read them not just look at the pictures and you can learn a lot.
