Guess my peak power and win....

Ok, so you don't win anything.

I'm building an engine and I've run a hundred permutations through desktop dyno, but its not returning reliable results. Its saying that my peak HP will be higher than I think it should be. So, I need you all to guess crankshaft hp AND the peak's RPM. I'll be actually dyno-ing this engine in a couple months, so we all get to see who's closest.

-chevy 355
-9.15:1 CR, good quench, about .025" in the hole
-Vortec 906 heads, very light pocket porting
-stock valves, 1.94/1.5"
-performer intake, Qjet carb
-high performance manifolds... I'd guess about halfway between a stock manifold and small headers as far as performance.
-cam is melling part number 22124 flat hydraulic, 202/213 duration @50, 1.6 rockers for .428/.437 lift on a 110 LSA

I need your opinions on what RPM peak HP will be, how much HP you think it will be, and maybe even a guess on torque if you want.

If I win this do I get a beer or do I have to guess where the vortecs will crack to do that?

There are 1293 jellybeans in the jar..............................

Well, that is about as close as I am going to get....

My guess, and I stress..."Guess" is......

327hp@5300 rpm
345 lbs of torque @ 3300rpm

What do I win besides a jar of jellybeans?

Thanks all for the guesses. I know there is a bit of a mismatch in peak flow and cam duration; that is to say the vortecs flow more than I need with this cam, but do you really think that hp will peak above 5000?

I was thinking more like 4800-4900, some have said as low as 4600. Desktop Dyno is telling me 5000.

Keep the guesses coming. I personally have to reject the obvious ones, but I do have to laugh at

I am still with you, but Trees, I moved to Lincoln Nebraska.

I now work as a tech with Speedway Motors. I couldn't handle the prosperity of Cimarron any longer.
