guide plates or not????

hi, i wanted to get some summit aluminum full roller rockers but it says they REQUIRE guide plates. now i do want guide plates but the world products s/r torquer heads require machining to have guide plates. i'm not ready to take my heads off and do that, so is it not a good idea to get the rockers if i can't have guide plates??

If your heads have slot's rather than round holes than no you won't need plates. Round holes mean you need a way to control the valve. You will need plates with round holes. You can use self aligning rockers with round holes but you can't use self aligning rockers when running with plates.
