Depends on what you are doing. If you are installing OEM roller components in your block (assuming it is set up for it), then you would install a sheetmetal "spider" that presses on the guides that keep the lifters in. If you are installing a retro-roller camshaft and lifters, you just install the lifters and they have a bar that connects them together.
