[Ghetto Jet]

It's been over a year and half since I clicked the New Thread button in the lounge. It's hard to tell what has changed more, me or this forum. It feels different here. I don't even know how I got away from being a daily poster so quickly. I got really into college; I transferred from Penn State to West Chester University. I have two, maybe three additional semesters to finish. After that it's law school all the way, I’m told that between my major, GPA, and LSAT performance I have a good shot at getting into some of the top law schools in the country. I’m not trying to think too far ahead though. I’ve been dating the same girl for about a year. I joined a fraternity and had blast and then we got kicked off campus. When we came back onto campus we were under new management so to speak, and under close watch by the University and local police department. It was no longer fun so I dropped out.

Now, onto the good stuff. The cars! Yes I still have the “Ghetto Jet” in my avatar, but I would like to sell it to someone who has more time to take care of it than I do. The white caprice with the crate motor, I lost interest in, I sold it to someone in the family. And of course you guys remember my Honda Accord? Killer, you rode in it when I came to Jersey like two years ago. The one that took so much abuse and had passed the 200,000 mile mark. Well it’s still taking the same amount of abuse and is over 300,000 miles now.

My new pride and joy is a Rio Red 1999 SVT Cobra. 1 of about 4040. I bought it from the 70 year old original owner. It had 20,000 miles on it, is in absolute perfect condition, had never been driven in the rain, stayed in a garage under a car cover, had every oil change receipt. The guy did put a Hurst shifter in it, but otherwise it’s bone stock. The quad cam 4.6 is fun. It sounds awesome running this car out to the 7000k redline. The car runs hard. The guys on the SVT board say I’ve got a factory freak. My first time out to the track I beat every recorded magazine track time, and did it with a horrible 60’ time. I ran 13.5 @ 105.27mph with a 2.29 60 foot time. An ok 60’ time with these cars is 2.0. It handles well, has IRS, and factory Brembo 13” brake setup in the front and 11.7” in the rear. Pulls .90g on the skid pad. I’ve got a nice kill list going, and you might see me and my car pop up on youtube or streetfire.net, if you look. The car has a V6 bumper, the first owner put this on, he gave me the cobra bumper. I like it, it keeps the cops off my back a little more I think.

Good to see you're still sucking air! I figured that you had gotten a life and didn't have as much time for the board, which is good stuff considering you're in college. You should have a steady supply of beer and ladies to worry about! Those years are good times, enjoy them!

Yea dinger tell me about it, if I had this Cobra engine in my Caprice I would probably run like a 14.8 lol.

So far it seems like I'm the only one who has took the badge off the trunk and put it onto the front. Most Cobra owners buy the Snake for the front or leave the stock horse there.

the lounge has changed a lot over the past few years not better or worse just different but i do miss "no topic" and watching everyone trip over thier tounges to flirt with chevelle girl!!
