hand built 22 dodge RPU

here is pix of my current project - 22 dodge RPU - all scratch fab - this is the frame - body skeleton - grill shell with the mesh wire

started block sanding the filler on the sides of the body before I apply the last 2 layers of Kevlar and glass - attempting go get the body as smooth as possible before I do that - slow work -- hope to finish the block sanding and filling this weekend - want to foam in the interior of the body shell on Sunday - cut out the outside track bar frame pcs. yesterday - hope to get them welded to the frame by Friday nite - I'll add some new photos this weekend - jaxx

im looking for a 225 slant 6 - I had one in a 76 Chrysler but my grandson got the car stuck in the mud one day ( when he was not suppose to be driving it ) and in the process of trying to get it unstuck , he blew the motor - well kids will be kids - maybe 318 or even the 2.5 4 cyl from my Dakota what ever comes along when I get ready for that step - jaxx

any of the ones you mentioned will work,,,ever think about a poly 318 ? the early poly motors have kool valve covers,,,

In like the poly motor but the LA318 are more abundant . - even if I use 2.5 4 cyl from my Dakota , I will make a valve cover for it that is a copy of the Hemi cover - it will bolt over the existing cover and have the plug wires go thru it - Ill call it the half a Hemi motor - just for fun.. they make a retro look valve cover for the new Vortec motors naw that make them look like the old 327s -jaxx

sounds koool maybe find a early desoto or dodge red ram hemi valve cover to start your custom cover good luck
