Hand cleaner?

I am looking for some hand "release agent", for lack of a better description. The product I have used for years was called "glove" but it is apparently no longer available. It is(was) a lotion applied to the hands before working in grease/oil so that the grime would easily wash off. I have checked all the auto parts, Wal-Mart and most other places that sell hand cleaners but most of the people I asked don't seem to have even heard of it and those that have said they have not seen it recently. Anyone know of a similar product?

One can always do the ole farmer deal and get a can of Bag Balm..It has a lanolin in it and works fine for that..

Can you just use a latex glove, I have used them for years and now I have a hard time working without them.

I have used two different types one was a gel formula in a tube(the one called Glove) and the other was a foam in a spray can almost like shave cream. I don't know whats in this stuff but if it is used before getting dirty all the grim easily Wash's off with hand cleaner or even soap and water, works really good can't imagine why it apparently does not sell very well. I guess I will have to stick to using the gloves.

The "Glovesinabottle" may work I will check it out but the stuff I am looking for is made for mechanics, print workers and other jobs where someone may work with industrial duty grim.

This is what I could Google up for you the last one refers to a Liquid & a foam
Liquid glove is what I put in .
that is how i seem to remember it

I use the green vinyl gloves {painters gloves} when I detail boats, motorcycles, cars & cleaning parts
I developed a bad reaction to the purple cleaner & the cleaner wax I use.

The purple cleaner really messed up the oil glands in my hands

Lemme know if that is what your looking for I might give it a try again now that I'm older & smarter ...well older

Hey rob that first site you posted http://bigfive.jl.co.za/index.htm
they has dart guns and elephant tranquilizer and cages and helicopter rides to AFRICA. That isn't Barrier cream. You are scaring me. That next site you put up is nice though. Pretty redhead there. I know this doesn't help oldred find barriercream. Sorry, I'll go away now.

Glove Kote by Evercoat, the fiberglass & body shop supply people

Invisible Glove, by Borden (AKA Elmer's Invisible Glove)

Kerodex 51, your pharmacy can order it

Try art supply places, or call you local newspaper & see if they use something like that & where they get it.

Thanks to everyone! The Evercoat "Glove Cote" is what I was looking for, thanks Jim, I looked at the other links also and found some really neat stuff that did I not know about and intend to check them out. I did a quick Google search before but I never came up with any of these. The guy at the paint store says he will get the Glove Cote for me now that I know what to ask for.
