I agree that stuff is way to harsh and could cause some serious skin problems. I once talked to a guy who used lacquer thinner to clean his paint guns but at the same time he got it on his hands leading to severe cracking around the joints. I noticed he had some really bad looking skin cracks that, believe it or not, he had sewn up with a needle and thread
to prevent them from getting worse! When I asked him what had happened to him he explained about the thinner but did not say why he continued to use it, I never bothered to ask him any more.
