hard ride
Just completed a 300 mile trip in my 34 ford pick-up. I think it's the last one. This truck is built in the traditional style, with buggy spring, ladder bar rear suspension, buggy spring, split wishbone front. My problem with this truck ever since completing it in Apr. 05, is the ride. It drives, stops, and steers excellent. It has plenty of power.(built 302,c-4), but it rides so hard it takes all of the enjoyment out of driving it anywhere. Has anyone that has built one of these rods with traditional suspension had this ride problem? I took 5 leaves out of the rear spring pack, but didn't help much. I haven't removed any from the front because there are only 4 to start with. Anyone used teflon slider material with any sucess? I know the 302 is lighter than the original flatheadv8, so can I safetly remove a coulpe of leaves from front?Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

springs
the best bet is to see if anyone makes aftermartket soft ride springs for your truck if not there are people out there that can custom make springs for pretty cheap.
