hardtop chop

hello....I'm considering doing a chop on my 54 chevy hardtop and was wondering if anyone knows if theres any mod/adjustment I would need to make so my side glass will still fit?? Basically what I'm trying to figure out is after the top is lowered, will the glass roll up and "seat" correctly into the upper channel or will I have to widen the top so that they will still fit? Any help is appreciated and I hope yall get what I'm trying to say....thanks

The glass won't "fit", the "hole" that it fits in will be changed, thus the glass will need to be changed. The door glass "may" work once the vent is modified but I wouldn't even count on that.

I agree. That is a perfect car the way it is. One of my all time favorites.
Hot rod it, yes but don't chop it.

chop it if you want. theres plenty of stockers around. it will chop easier if you slide the top forward and fill the gap between the roof and trunk. much like some early mercs were done. the rear side glass will be reshaped.theres another post on a chopped 54 coupe. about as fine of a job as i've seen.
