Cool has anybody heard of a 305 V-6 ?!?

are they good or bad or what I need some info please help me find any thing on this rare motor. I have a '65 1 ton chevy that I wouldlike to put one in. My uncle had one given to him and he gave it to me. It has only been seting for 6 or7 months and was running when it was pulled.

Am I wasting my time or what?

all I need is a standard flywheeland everthing will bolt up to what i all ready got

your help is greatly needed

I have one of these engines.I completely went through it for a guy,and he then told me that he could not pay me.I have rebuilt a few of these engines through the years.They are good and strong for a 1 ton truck.Let me know what kind of questions you have about these engines,and I can try to help you.If you want to exchange your engine for a completely remanufactured one,I have one waiting for you here in Chicago.Good Luck

VanL6: what's the bore and stroke on these? Good for anything besides trucks?

Those are GMC engines used in trucks as you seem to know.I don't know the specs but if you look up mid 70's GMC trucks you should find something.They are not perf. engines at all but great for a Small to med truck.

The Bore is 4.250" and the Stroke is 3.578".GMC made these engines from 1960-1974.I have only dealt with them in trucks.

You'd think with a 4.25 bore and that (kinda) short stroke they'd be rev monsters.
