We have a few motors around, a 2.9(i think) its ford motor, could i pratice on those heads, even though i will be doing a chevy 350 heads? If so i will just do that for some pratice, Thanks guys you always help a lot
yes practice will show you how to blend in the guide area and bowl erea without nicking the seats up, also you will get the "feel" of how stones and cutters do their thing.
Yep, I would practice all you can. I learned on a junk sbc head from a HotRod Magazine article in about 1993. It was a very in depth article on bowl porting. I would take it too a machine shop that does porting and get them to look over your work and give you any pointers if they will.
