have 67 chevelle put motor back

i pulled motor to redo it and put it back in and have no juice to switch or head lights or anything . could it be a ground or am i missing a wire. ran fine before removed.

If it's the original wiring it's possible (likely?) that the smaller wires that attach to the solenoid have become brittle with age and snapped. I've had Chevelles do this and the insulation looked fine but the wire inside was broken leaving me with an open circuit that I couldn't see. It would be one of the smaller wires on the large solenoid bolt, when you take it loose if it's really limp right at the terminal you'll see what I'm talking about.

If you have power from the bat. to the starter, it could be that your missing (forgot to connect) the main feed (from the terminal at the starter to the electrical system)

There should be a little junction block near the battery on the passenger side.
Mounted on the core suppoet.

ALL power except the battey goes thru this.

So--you need the smaller red wire (part of the positive battery cable) connected to this.

These should be a single 12ga wire coming out of the original harness that alco connects to this block.
