Hi guys,
okay here goes...i have 41 nash coupe that i cut the unibay from (or what was left of it) and reworked the mid and rear half of a s10 chassis for and i have added just unerd 4 ft of 2x3 rect tubing to...mounted the springs and i am working on the steering..the front suspension is out of a 64 ford f100 with machined hubs from a chevy 1/2 ton with disc's...now my question is what do you use as a travel limeter for the straight axle to keep in place when you turn going up hill or down...do I really just rely on the leaf springs and blocks or do I have to add a "hair pin" of sorts to this set up..any help would be great and i will post some pic's for ya guys as I learn this site..i am a member of the ol skool rodz forum to and have some pic's on there forums if you get anxious

I assume that you have two paralell leaf springs if so I do not think you need any hair pins or anything. The truck that used your set up did not need them , so they should not be needed now.

good news

Hi again henry, thanks i assumed it didnt but you know what they say about assumtion's....i was just a little worried about the rocking effect it will have...the trans is a 4 speed borg and wrner close ratio with a richmond rear axle with a set of 5:13's...lotta torque...i do have a big block chevy motor for it i built..but i ended up with a trans adapter and blower intake for a hemi 331-392 style...so the plan is to use a lil 331 hemi i found in indiand with a 8-53 blower i had refubished ....the hemi is already heavy..you think with the added weight of the blower and a manual trans action might be to much for a set of s10 springs?
