Hi I have a 96 Chevy c3500 5.7 vortec truck ran good the day I parked it. It sat for 4 to 5 months before I put a new transmission into it . And now I have a misfire. But no codes I drove the truck and quite so I put a new coil, Ignition control Module, cap and rotor, and New plugs before I parked it I put new plug wires in it. But when I pulled number 1 pug wire I wasn't getting much spark so I try one of my old plug wires and still not a lot of spark. so I pulled the cap and rotor so make sure nothing was broke or craked I double checked the Fireing order to make sure that it wasn't causeing the problem and still doing the samething. What can I do to fix this.

what color is the spark? red is too weak blue and white is good

You need to determine which cylinder is misfiring. If you have a timing light, then hook it up to each wire one at a time with engine at high idle. Check for consistent flash. After checking every wire, hopefully you'll have found the problem. This can also be done with inline spark tester.

If this doesn't identify the problem, then remove each wire one at a time and start the engine to find the bad cylinder. Or pull each plug one at a time and check for spark.

If all spark checks out, then a compression or leak down test is needed. Perhaps you have a sticking valve from sitting.
