You need to determine which cylinder is misfiring. If you have a timing light, then hook it up to each wire one at a time with engine at high idle. Check for consistent flash. After checking every wire, hopefully you'll have found the problem. This can also be done with inline spark tester.
If this doesn't identify the problem, then remove each wire one at a time and start the engine to find the bad cylinder. Or pull each plug one at a time and check for spark. If all spark checks out, then a compression or leak down test is needed. Perhaps you have a sticking valve from sitting. Good luck. |
