head gasket

i am installing a set of Pro Comp PC5213 CHEVY SBC 400 ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE STAINLESS MULTI-LAYER HEAD GASKETS Three layers of pure 304 stainless steel
Outer layers embossed and coated on both sides with Viton a state of the art flourelastomer rubber based material
but not shure what side should face up ,raised or concaved , i put raised up but had to knotch for oil stick always installed raised side up but hope this was rite and will work they were knotched for oil stick flipped this side down STEEL gaskets raised side up i alway thought

Ayuh,... I would Think the notch would be a dead giveaway as to which way they go....

The notch would be the giveaway but it really doesn't matter which way up or down, the sealing is the same.
