Head gaskets.

I need to know what are the best head gaskets for a 350 SBC. engine? I've had two sets go bad in a little over one year. Thanks for any assistance.

I would worry less about the head gaskets them selves and try to figure out why they are failing to start with. Are the heads straight? Are they being properly torqued? Are the deck surfaces properly cleaned? What is the application?

Etc.,

Like Tom said.. Why are they failing in the first place? '90 heads come from the factory with terrible surfaces, plus they like to warp up out on the ends.

Were these things checked for Warp?

I was once told by a gasket designer that he wished all engines were as easy to seal as a Chevy. With five head bolts around every cylinder, a piece of cardboard could seal the things up.

head gaskets

Thanks to both of you.
I checked the heads with the best edge I had (a carpenders level). I'll pull them again next week and take them to a machine shop.
Once again Thank you.
