Head Gaskets

I have recently purchased my first set of aluminum heads for my street car, I will be running about 11.5:1 compression. I was told I had to run a special set of gaskets. Do I really have to have a special set or can I get buy with regular head gaskets like the some rubber over metal or somthing.

You need to use the correct gaskets to prevent brinneling the head.Fel-Pro 1034 comes to mind someone correct me if my memory is wrong.

1010 Felpro is just for aluminum heads.

The 1034's .042 thick,1010 are.031 thick. I need .060 to drop some compression.

May have to go with a set of Cometics or a 1044 which is .051 thick and the Felpro 1036 is for a 4.250 and is a thick gasket I believe.
