Head gaskets

i need to know what kind of head gaskets my 273 commando needs or if they just go by c.i.

You can get steel gaskets or fibre gaskets. Suggest the fibre gaskets on a used motor. If the heads are warped slightly they will take up the difference, plus they seal better. You get slightly higher compression with the steel gaskets.

Go to your local NAPA or CarQuest store and ask for Victor-Reinz #3536VC. These are composite gaskets and will work well on your engine. If you need the full head set with intake, valve cover gaskets, etc., the part number is HS3536A.
