Header?

I have a Chevy 350 engine and I was wondering if I change the stock exhaust manifolds to shorty headers would there be much of a proformance difference? The stock manifolds have no emission control equipment on them and have a N stamped on the side of them if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for all help.

the shorty headers work inthe upper part of the power band and long tube headers work in the lower part of the power band.i would think that shorty headers would work very well as part of a catback system.though i have never used either it is well documented info you can find in magazine articles and headers specialist.
