Header exhaust port shape? Dart Iron Eagle

I have a Chevy 350 with these heads:

Dart #301-10021111

SB-Chevy Iron Eagle S/S Series Cylinder Head 165cc Intake Runner
72cc Combustion Chambers
2.02'' Int/1.60'' Exh Valves
1.250" Single Springs

I'm trying to figure out what headers would work for my application.

The engine is in a '59 Ford F100 and it's very tight fit along the steering shaft so I'm pretty sure the Block Hugger headers are what I'll need. But the exhaust port shape is confusing me. The port is really rectangular (certainly not round or oval or D-shaped), but when I look at rectangular port headers the rectangle is always "standing up" (taller then it is wider.) The exhaust ports on this head is on it's side (wider than it is tall.) Hope that makes sense...

Am I over thinking it? It APPEARS to me that the dog-leg style port is the closest, but I really don't know.

Thanks in advance for your expertise!!

Sam

is the engine in the truck? have you contacted any custom header makers? Is the engine high out put or close to stock?

Yes, it's in the truck and the PO put a little bit of money into it, but I'm not sure it qualifies as what you might call high output.

Edelbrok performer 1405 600 cfm carb
Performer intake
Dart heads that I mentioned

He rebuilt the entire engine and so may have put in an aftermarket cam, but I have no way of knowing what it was, unfortunately. I DO know it knocks like hell if I don't run super gas (I'll tackle that one in another threaad.) Compression is between 182 & 185 all the way around.

Anyway, I just didn't see any port shapes that match mine and I though surely I was missing something obvious. haha!

Thanks!

contact Jere Stahl and see if he can jig up a set of headers.
Those heads are not known for high power applications so I wonder if the cost of custom headers is worth the effort?
