Header/Steering Issue

I'm building a 53 Chevy truck....sbc .... using flaming river column. Tried mocking up with several old headers and had interference..... saw several similar trucks on ebay and they were using huggers. Anyone have any experiences on this.....any favorite huggers?? Also will be having knock sensors....do huggers create problems with those? thx Sojo

Steering box

50 years ago we moved the steering box, a bracket made from 1/4 inch plate and angle, but you have less turning clearance, I think I read on a chevy stovebolt or other classic chevy truck site about using a toyota or Nissan pickup power steering gear box.

I'm using huggers on my 48 p/u. I did have to cut the flange off of the drivers side header and extended it down about two inches and rewelded the flange back on. I know there are better solutions probably but it was the easiest and most cost effective for me.
