Headers For 347?

I'm am in progress of getting my 347 back in running condition, the motor is supposed to put out just over 500hp with a holy 174 blower. Then engine is going into a 86 F-150 4x4 that is lowered down with a C-6 trans. It currently has a set oh hooker long tube black quarter inch flange headers on it and they suck. They look like crap and I can never get them to seal off the head. I am thinking 3/8 flange and ceramic coated is the way to go, long tube because I want the extra torque and have the room. Does anyone out there know of a great brand to go with? (as long as it does not brake the bank lol

Have you tried L&L, the Ford truck engine swap guys. I can't remember the full name, just the L&L.

I don't think you are going to find a cheap 3/8" flange ceramic header anywhere, have you tried splitting the flange on the headers you have?? Between the two center ports, or between every port?? Makes the flange more compliant.

I have not tried that no, but that is a good idea. I think I will give it a shot. I will look into the l&l headers as well thanks.
